Random good stuff

Catching up on my reading this summer. Well at least a good portion of it.
Sewing has been on my top priorities this summer with several SCA events that have come and gone. Thank God, it is now July and the sewing is now slowing down.
I'm hoping that a friend will call to help her with a bodice. I might sew up a one pair of pantaloons for the hubby. I'm almost ready for the big project of my nice dress for feast. This dress will reflect the persona I am aiming for. It is a toss up between Belgian or Flemish since both are actually in my blood. But who knows.
Tomorrow is a church day, yeah! I miss church often since the camping we have done falls on the weekends.
Either way, I will apply for NWFS (North West Florida State this coming week and have to sit down and get transcripts together.
Better run for now and get some sleep.

2010

Can you believe its already 2010? Out of the 3 decades I have already lived through, scenes change every day and sometimes dramatically.
I am amazed to see where we grew up has become worse even in the old house as children.
For 2010, I think about what has already happened.
The economy is bad! I certainly did not vote for the person who is the president.
There is a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico effecting not only tourism but for different animals as well.
Unemployment is at a high point this year everywhere!
I've learned if I'm going to drink alcohol do it in portions and limits at parties.
Even with trusted friends being careful is important. People do stupid things when they are drunk!
Shaving is a good idea in the summer specially for that bathing suit!
Time to wrap things up for now.
I'm going to back to my sewing project.
